What is the best free porn blocker?

iPhone Screen Time on Apple devices, and a family DNS filter such as Cloudflare's on Android and routers.

Do porn blockers work?

Is Covenant Eyes a porn blocker?

It filters and sends accountability reports to an ally. Web prices start at $18 a month.

Can I block porn on Android for free?

Yes. Set Private DNS to family.cloudflare-dns.com and lock SafeSearch.

Is Raze a porn blocker?

No. Raze is a tracker. Use it alongside a blocker.

Best Porn Blocker App Options for 2026 (Free + Paid)

Written by Muneeb Rana · Store facts checked 24–28 October 2026 · Raze is our app

Quick answer: The best porn blocker app depends on your device and how hard you want it to be to switch off. Start free with iPhone Screen Time or a family DNS filter, then add a paid blocker such as BlockerX or Covenant Eyes if you need more. A tracker like Raze doesn't block; it complements one.

How we chose

We looked at what each porn blocker app or setting actually does, which devices it covers, how easy it is to turn off, and its price. Prices come from the developer's own pricing page (checked 28 October 2026) or the App Store listing (checked 24 October 2026). Raze is our app; it's a tracker, not a blocker, so it isn't ranked here.

Porn blocker app options compared

Option	Type	Devices	Price (when checked)	Hard to bypass?
iPhone Screen Time	Built-in filter	iPhone, iPad, Mac	Free	Yes, if someone else holds the passcode
Google SafeSearch	Search filter	Any browser	Free	Low on its own
Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 for Families	DNS filter	Router, Android, PC	Free	Medium
BlockerX	Dedicated blocker	iOS, Android	About $49.99–99.99/year (App Store)	Medium–high
Covenant Eyes	Blocking + accountability	iOS, Android, Mac, Windows	$18/month or $198/year on the web	High (partner alerts)
Ever Accountable	Accountability, optional filter	All major platforms	$14.99/month	High (partner alerts)

No single option catches everything. The strongest setups layer one free filter with either a paid blocker or a partner who gets alerts.

Free porn blocker options

iPhone and iPad: go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > App Store, Media, Web & Games > Web Content, then choose Limit Adult Websites (Apple Support). Ask someone you trust to set the Screen Time passcode so you can't change it on impulse. Step-by-step: how to block porn on iPhone.

Android: set Private DNS to family.cloudflare-dns.com (Settings > Network > Private DNS), which uses Cloudflare's free family filter for malware and adult content (Cloudflare). Full guide: how to block porn on Android.

Any browser: turn on and lock Google SafeSearch (Google).

Whole home: set the same family DNS on your router so every device on the Wi-Fi is covered.

Paid porn blocker apps

BlockerX is an adult content blocker for phones with keyword and site blocking; the App Store lists yearly plans around $49.99–99.99 (App Store). See Raze vs BlockerX.

Covenant Eyes combines filtering with screen accountability reports sent to an "ally". On its website, the Victory plan is $18 a month, $198 a year or $950 lifetime, with a 7-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee; one plan covers unlimited devices for up to 10 family members (Covenant Eyes). App Store prices differ.

Ever Accountable doesn't block by default; it reports activity to a partner, with optional filtering on Android and iOS. It's $14.99 a month and covers all your devices (Ever Accountable).

If partner reports appeal more than blocking, see our list of accountability apps.

Setup checklist

Turn on one free filter on every device you use
Give the passcode or admin login to someone else
Remove private-browsing apps you don't need
Set the filter on your home router too
Decide what you'll do if you find a gap: tell your partner, don't test it
Track your streak so you can see if the setup is working

What a blocker can't do

Blockers reduce easy access, and that matters most in the first weeks. They don't touch the reasons behind the habit, such as stress, loneliness or boredom, and determined searching usually finds a gap. Pair the blocker with a plan for relapse triggers and a way to track progress. If you've tried blockers and plans and still can't stop, see porn addiction help.
